Win2k sharing modem with 98

Here's the problem, my sister's 98SE computer is on a usb broad band modem and she wants to connect her Win2k comp so that it will also access this modem. I have networked the two computers together, but they will not share network access. I have never dealt with these usb modems so any help would be appreciated.

how did you connect the two machines together?

by a hub? switch? ICS?

if you used a switch or hub most of the time you will need to get a router to share off the internet

but a cheap solution is this

Direct connect via crossover. This is a full duplex connection using a wireless BB access point that is connected to the 98 PC via USB. I can network the two computers together but am unable to share the BB connection.
