water question

will Ts work the same as Y splitters for water tubing ? i get the impression that Ts would give 1 side more flow then the other.. any comments?

just using my knowledge of fluid motion, a T will disrupt the constant flow, causing turbulance the water will move more slowly.
Ys on the other hand allow the fluid to continue moving in the same general direction with a slight adjustment.

Yep, butch81385 is right, what happens is there's that wall on the top of the T so when the water hits it, some water may go back and some would spilt off to the sides, T's work better if you're using like an air pump for an aquarium, which my dad is using for hte fishy's.
