Arrow keys dont work..

just recently my arrow keys have been not working.. ive noticed that if i bind SHIFT to lets say jump in half life or any game, when i push arrowkeys i jump. also when i try to set my keys in a game or anywheres they dont return a key..

what the heck is going on?
i know its not my keyboard because it happend on another keyboard of mine to..

Well...geee. I may not be the fastest duck on the pond...but please tell me exactly what does a different keyboard have to do with a keyboard plug-in socket or the keyboard controller chip..both of which reside on the motherboard?

Maybe it does have something to do with the OS, but maybe not. Have you tested the keyboard in a DOS environment?
