Which Spyware remover is better?

I would like to hear opinions on which spyware remover is better and why?
Also do any of them actually work in the background to stop spyware getting onto the computer?

Also what about registry cleaners? Any suggestions on what works?

SPYBOT Search and Destroy

Thats all you need. Just run it once a week, or so, and it will keep your computer spyware free.

Also Ad-Aware is a good program to keep your computer clean.

I use both programs, and they both work very nicely.

I remember reading this article a while back comparing a bunch of spyware removers. Ad-aware and spybot search and destroy came out on top. The interesting thing is it works the best when you use both of them. Not just 1. I use both. Spybot will find things ad-aware won't, and vice versa.

spybot is good. Iam currently checking out this program: Spy Sweeper
It has active monitoring for spyware.

I like the immunize feature of Spybot Search and Destroy. It keeps those nasties out.

I'll check Spy Sweeper out. Thanks

Ditto...I read the same thing. It's true too...what one misses, the other will get.

dauss and Martoch are right on the money. Spy-Bot and Ad-Aware are complimentary to one another. What one misses the other will pick up, and vice versa. My experience is you need both to get the best results.

I use both as well. I actually first only used Ad-Aware, then people started suggesting Spy-Bot to me.

It's not like it's a big deal to use both, so that's what I recommend.
