sorry for the language, but how the hell do you get this damn card to work???


out of all my time messing with computers, ive honestly never had a correctly working dvd player....are they more a pain in the ass than worth or what????

do i need another addon card to the one i have already ?? what am i doin wrong here...

this damn computer, its a hp pavillion 6573Z mobo/cpu with integrated video...if i could ever manage to find the drivers for the damn mobo (im not having a good time trying to set this stupid thing up) i mihg tbe able to find that info out...

Yup. Looks like you're right. I doesn't look like your mobo is compatible with that card.

ok, another stupid question and we can let this thread die, you have to have a dvd decoder card to have a dvd drive? i ask this because i go the case in its original condition, just a dvd player and no dvd decoder card, no shouldnt that tell me that its possible to watch a dvd using the dvd drive, through my monitor?

Correct. I would think that the only other thing you need to view the DVD is the correct software or codecs.

most have decoders on-board the drive methinks
if not, most DVD watching software will have a software decoder
