EAX and sound quality in Compressed games...?

my friend downloads ripped games and i want to know whether he is getting the best audio quality possible. are the sound compressed further? i know that they take out all of the dialogue so will it also be compressed? if it is i will tell him to buy games......thanx for ur help

I have had a few dodgy downloaded conpressed games like that, and yes i beleive some of them do compress the sounds further so the audio ends up being terrable. A good excuse to just buy the game
