Can't get >16colors in 98se, but could in 95

Hi,

I have an AcerNote Light 350PCX Laptop 133MHz, 40MB RAM, and Chips and Technologies 65545 PCI video card. I had 95 on the system before and 24bit color worked. I installed 98se, and now I can't even go to 256 color mode. I've tried all the drivers, what should I do?

Next time you could send a private message to a moderator and get them to move the thread for you to the correct forum. They take a dim view to duplicate threads.

You'll have to register (for free) in order to download any drivers.

Yes, I already tried there.

Thanks...anyone else? (I'm reinstalling 98 to see if it was the installation because during it, while it was searching for plug and play, i had to close it :-S )

Yeah, you're going to have to find the correct windows 98 video drivers to get out of 16 color land and I doubt they will be found on the Win98 install disk.
