Outdoors Memory problems

I have a MSI K7N2 Delta mainboard and I bought some OCZ Platinum PC 3200 EL DDR 400 256MB X2 Dual channel chips and they will not run on my board.
I installed the memory in slot 1 and slot 3 just like the manuel told me to do and all I get is the memory error beeps at start up.

Can any one tell me what I am doing wrong?

Work the memory in and out of the slots a couple of times to make sure its seated correctly. Make sure to support the mobo while doing so as over flexing the board can damage it.

The memory you bought, is it registered, buffered or have anything that might make it incompatible with either your mobo or CPU?

If you have a stick of say DDR 2100, use it to boot up and get into the BIOS. If you make it that far you can then R/O any other would be problem. Then set the memory settings, CAS, FSB/CPU divider ratio, blah blah, to be compatible with your new memory.

Shut it down immediately after exiting the BIOS and re-install your new memory and see what happens.
Good Luck, wallie_x

Here is the website where I bought my ram :http://www.directron.com/oczel40012pe.html

I'm not really sure if it is registered or not.
It says that it is cl 2-2-3-5. Now dose that mean my
T-(ras) 2
T-(rcd) 2
T-(rp) 3
Cas 2.5

Dram clock is 1:1- giving me 400mhz

I'm not sure how to set my memory timings
I'm a newbie when it comes to high performance ram.

I've currently running pc2100 with default dettings and it runs fine.

Thanks

I would try the "Performance defaults" for that page in the Bios, and burn it in before going to more aggressive timings.

Your system will not run at that FSB setting. The ratio is: 200Mhz/200Mhz.
What CPU do you have? If its a Athlon XP 266Mhz the the most aggressive settings will be:
133/200Mhz and this is quite asynchronous,
(However, I don't know if thats a bad thing with the nForce as it is with a Via chipset.)
If your CPU is an Athlon XP rev.# 2 with a 333Mhz FSB, the divider ratio should be 166/200Mhz.
Your best performance will likely come from a synchronous setting of over clocking the CPU slightly with a 1:1 divider ratio.
Look in your manual and read about its BIOS thoroughly before attempting changes. Good Luck wallie_x

My cpu is a AMD Barton 2500+ . I've overclocked it to 3200+ with my fsb at 200mhz. works great with my no name memory.

When I install the pc3200 that's when the problems occur.
