favicon works only partially

Hi there,

i've created a page for my friends and myself so we can view our photo's taken on our holiday online. I was trying some stuff out and wanted to create a favicon for my bookmark... Now here is the weird (for me) part:
If i go to the page directly by typing in the address

http://home.hccnet.nl/r.hornes/deSilva/Index.html

the icon works! But if i try to access the page by typing

http://home.hccnet.nl/r.hornes/deSilva/

the icon is only visible in the bookmarks section and not in the address-bar.... How is this possible?


Also, i've registered my page with dot.tk so the link http://www.desilva.tk directs to the original page, but there both the bookmark icon and the icon in the address-bar don't work..

Can somebody help me with my problems?
