Partitioning NTFS hard disk

I have a 40gb harddisk with NTFS file system i want to partition it and i dont have partion magic can someone advise. My machine is running on xp pro

Do a google search for free partitioning utilities and you should get a lot. Not sure about NTFS utilities though. Ranish Partition Manager is good.

One workaround is to boot from a 98 disk, fdisk and format in FAT32.

Later you can convert to NTFS when you load XP/2K

If you are already running windows XP on the 40Gig harddrive then you will have to get a program similar to or partition magic.

like shahai said, look for a free utility and make sure it can deal with NTFS partitions.
