Hmmm....
Okay, try these steps:
- Upgrade your DirectX. Get it at
http://directx.microsoft.com
- Try changing the video mode. From the main menu go to Configuration>Video>Video Modes. Software is for computers with no 3d accelerators (not you). If OpenGL is selected, try chaning to DirectX, and visa versa.
- Download the Omega ATI drivers at
www.omegacorner.com
- Goto start>run and type msconfig. Press Ok. Then press 'Create Backup'. Now press 'Selective Startup'. Uncheck all of the boxes except System.ini. Press OK (if it asks, save changes) and reboot the machine and try playing the game afterwards. Record what kind of performance increase you see. Now you can go back to msconfig, and press 'Restore Backup' to get back all your startup stuff. NOTE: If this does the trick, I will need to ask you to do something else. Just respond saying this worked.
- Try playing at a lower resolution. If you're playing at 1600x1200, odds are your framerate is going to suck anyway, regardless of what card. Since the framerate increased 12 FPS since installing the new card, I doubt this is the problem, but you never know.
- Increase the AGP apeature size to half your RAM. This is done in the BIOS screen.
