Setup Could not detect an Audigy 2 on your system, setup will now exit...WTF? PLZ HLP

I can get sound on my z-680s but only to the front speakers since i can't install teh drivers and software for my audigy 2. I get sound but no sound to the rear or the center speakers. I know i need playcenter and surround mixer to change teh setting to 5.1 but when i try to install it, it says that it could not detect an audigy 2 on my system. Setup will now exit.. I am so confused...there r a few other ppl with the same problem. I tried different PCI slots and drivers, but only teh standalone driver installs(the one that is called eax4.- patch or whevr). When i try to install the driver pack it says audigy 2 could not be detected on your system. When i try to install teh software it says that teh setup could not detect the required components, setup will now exit. I just took out my sb live! value, and it was working. I dunno how to get rid of it's drivers though. i am using win 2k pro btw. i got a p4 1.3 with 384 mb RD RAM pc-800. Sb audigy 2 OEM (didn't come with cd) and z-680 speakers.

did you go to control panel --> add/remove programs and remove it there. then make sure you remove it from device manager. it is best to remove all sound items from both and reboot. when windows detects the ths audigy on reboot cancel out of windows install and once you are booted up put in the audigy install cd and autorun should take you through the setup. good luck

i did do that and it duz detect it but when i run the setup it says the cannot be detected error. it is in device manager and is detected on reboot. there are other owners of the audigy 2 that are having the same problem.
