WIN XP INSTALLATION PROB

When i try to install XP, it gets through the first section then has to reboot. After resetting, it gets to the stage showing the XP logo and has the loading bar scrolling underneath. It freezes at this point, sometimes the screen goes blank or even blank but can faintly see the logo. Any ideas how to resolve? I installed win98 just to see what happens and that installs without any probs..

whats ya memory (ram) size. Maybe xp is too powerful 4 it.

Please post hardware details...
I've seen some really weird XP install problems with some very specific hardware (e.g., EPoX 8K5A2 mobo/T-Bred 1800/WinXP three-way interaction... bad news).
Many folks have reported that XP seems much more sensitive to dram quality compared to W9x flavors.
