open ports on d-link 614+

exactly how do block/open ports? i'm new to the networking thing and i need to open several ports on my built in firewall for an online game i play (america's army). i'm having trouble finding many open servers and getting many authorization errors, one of the trouble shooting techniques stated it could be a problem with the firewall.....i've just recently upgraded to dsl and use a d-link 614+ router

when i open the settings for the firewall, it gives me source and destination ip addresses and the port range.

i have dsl using pppoe; even though i have dynamic ip, my ip has stayed the same with the router.

thanks for the link. not sure if i have the latest firmware or not. i assume not because i just installed it. how do i get/install the latest firmware? most likely i can find it on d-link's site, but if you have a quick link i'd appreciate it. does the latest firmware speed up the wan to 44mbps if used with the + d-link pcmcia card? i thought i read that somewhere.
