Is it saveable?

I have a 3gb JTS Champion that I put in a computer awhile back. Well, I put it back in one today and went to boot it and it bluescreens and restarts. I try to install XP on it and it gets so far and crashes. Is it possible to zero fill this drive? I couldnt find much with google about it.

i would think so, i did one (slightly smaller in size) last week and had no problems with this type of procedure

i did not however use any manufacturer product for this i use a program designed to test and refurbish drives and this is just one of the features available with it

uhm i didn't mention the program because i use pc certify and it isn't cheap, nearly $500 but i need this for the work i do. it is currently on sale but still too expensive i would think for an occaisional user

run a search on the techimo i remember someone posting a link to a zero fill utility in the last few weeks (based on linux if i remember correctly, i tried it on a couple of drives and it worked fine)

edit

linkage pccertify
