Warcraft CD-Keys (I don't want them, just have a question)
Does anyoen know why Blizzard added a CD-Key to the expasion pack? Brood war or Diablo expasion didn't have it. Other than for additional protection from piracy.

Blizzard added the CD-Key to expansions starting with D2:LoD. This was because they wanted each individual to buy a copy of the expansion instead of copying from their friends (like in SC:BW). This way they could make sure that people who wanted to play would have to buy instead of pirate.

nope just the cd key of the game you are running, if you are playing the exp it will check your exp cd key if you are playing normal game just your normal game cd key...

Washe, false, it checks both your D2 and D2:LOD key, this may be different for SC.

I agree with krohnjw. My friend let me borrow his WIII and WIII: Frozen Throne. You can run Frozen Throne with the WIII non-exp cd so I figured we could play on battle.net with each other if he used the Frozen Throne CD and I used the normal WIII CD cuz it had a different key. But it checks both versions so it doesn't work

yep i live in mexico, what city did you live in....
And for the battle.net question in Warcraft III, it check only the game that its active not both cd keys at the same time.... If havent noticed you have to click or run different shortcuts to fire up WIII and WIII TFT, in diablo II and Starcraft you could switch between normal and exp inside the game...
