Problem with Explorer

Whenever I try to open up explorer in any way, whether it be through my documents or trying to use Internet explorer I get the same error. Explorer has caused an error in BMEB.DLL. Explorer will now close. I have no idea but something took over my computer, running spybot didn't find anything. Oh, just to let you guys know I run on ME sadly. Thanks in advance.

Search your system for that file, BME.DLL.

Then right click on it to see if you can figure out what it is and/or where it came from.

Then try getting rid of it. The best way to do this is to compress the file BME.DLL into a ZIP or RAR file. Then delete the uncompressed BME.DLL file. This way if it turns out you need that file all you gotta do is unzip it.

Getting rid of that file may stop the error from crashing your Internet Explorer, or it may not. But that's the first course of action I would take. After which I'd continue to investigate to figure out where that dll came from.

It's kinda hard to search the conventional way when you can't use explorer in any shape or form. Yes, this sucks, I know.

Was able to finally delete the file and get things back to a working state. Though I'd like ot know how to prevent somewhere from even getting the chance to tag me with it.
