Wireless standard recommendation?

Setting up a wireless home network with 2 desktops and a notebook. I have a cable modem connection. Should I go with the "B" standard or "G" standard?...for normal home use.

For the fairly negligible difference in price I'd go with the G standard. Almost 5 times the speed which will help with file transfers, and also you wont be quite as obsolete and time passes.

However if its strictly for internet sharing, and the budget is an issue, B would work fine
