Outdoors Logitech z680 problems

I just purchased these speakers and I can't get sound out of the left rear channel. I have tried connecting digitally to my Nforce2 Motherboard. The pod detects the digital connection and when I test I get all speakers except left surround is muffled. Any ideas? Thanks alot

Windows xp

make sure that the stereo wire is all the way in the speaker connector. If thats not the case take one of the stereo wires from one of the other speakers and see if its the wire. My friend got a pair and ended up having one of his wires gone bad. me and him both just went out and bought some good quality copper/silver stereo wire.

Thanks alot for the reply. I double checked the speaker wire connection and it is doing the same thing.I have even swapped them around. I went on the logitech site and there were 5 or 6 guys with the same problem but there were no replies sadly. Thanks again for trying

If this problem is occuring when you are trying to play music in winamp, you might want to downgrade your drivers (back to 2.45), I have some logitech speakers and when i upgraded my nforce 2 drivers (to 3.13), it caused issues with winamp and playing out of the rear channel speakers. This may be only an issue with winamp, but you may want to give this a try.

Did you also try a different speaker on that same output as the speaker giving you problems? If another speaker gives you the same problem its somthing wrong with the amp. You'll have to send the sub to logitech, or back to the store(If in the 30 or 90day period) and get it replaced. If its jsut that one speaker, then you won't have to package up that huge sub.

Have tried switching the speaker and it worked, so I think it may be a problem with the sub. I just bought the damn things!!!! I hate to have to send it back. I wonder why some people were having the same problem as me. I have emailed logitech but who knows when they will reply and I have called there tech line once but I think I new more about computers than that guy hehe. Thanks again

Logitech doens't have great tech support. I've emailed them asking for a new control pod with the newer software so I could get a working stereo x2 effect. But no responce from them.
