Which video is LEAST sucky??

As far as intergrated video...which of these sucks the least, lol...and which sucks the most?

S3 ProSavage 8 Video
SiS Real Graphics (64MB Share Memory)
UniChrome 2D/3D Graphics with motion compensation

Any ideas?? Thanks, JP

(PS, they are biostar boards by the way)

Hey, John:

I just recently built a slim desktop unit using a Biostar mATX board and incorporating the S3 ProSavage 8 integrated video.
It seemed to work fine. It was for someone, (a non-gamer), to take to college. So I didn't test it out w/ any games.

All I can say is the DVD playback was very decent. This system consisted of a 1.7GHz Celeron w/ 384 MB Crucial PC2100 DDR SDRAM. I chose that board because the case only took low profile cards, and I was trying to cut costs. The on-board sound run thru Logitech Z-340 speakers was also very acceptable.

I've only just recently seen the UniChrome integrated graphics, but I don't know a thing about that mfr. . .

I was just wondering about the comparison..like is one way better or worse than the other.

I think I can probably go thru neweggs reviews and figure it out.

Obviously none of the listed ones r for gaming, lol. But one might be a lil better than the others.

The NForce2/3 boards have good integrated video.. NVidia based so can't be all that bad depending on the users requirements...

oh whoops
Didn't realize you wanted a choice of THOSE choices

YA. I am looking at biostar boards...and the nforce2 m7ncg 400 has the gf 4 onboard...I like that for the slightly better range of builds...but am looking for a budget board also.

Intel Extreme Graphics 2 might be the best solution available right at the moment--either it or NVIDIA's integrated video. Integrated solutions really have come a long way. While they'll never be confused with high end cards, you CAN game on them now--and boy, that's more than you could say back when i810 ruled the roost.

::shudder::

/me remembers his days with the I810 and shudders...

thank you 3dFx for your accelerators....

Anyways. My budy has a laptop that uses the Intel Extreme Graphics on his laptop and it seems to handle mild gaming ok. Plays Vice City and Quake 3 OK. (Not with high details and all mind you) The one thing that is kinda freaky to see is when your onboard video and sound fight for the processor in a game. With my old Intel 810e the graphics card would win so the sound was processed very slow. The result was an ok looking game but all the sound was in slow motion freaky
