5200 FX series update

Well, i know the 5200 has been downplayed, but did some research today and and I flashed the bios from the Gainward site using it's easy program it provides and also used the correct drivers for the 5200 FX....previously I downloaded the current drivers from NVidea, but found out that i needed to use the lower version drivers for this card and it makes difference in benchmarking. Granted 3d 2003 still doesn't benchmark well, but the 2001 se version benchmarks well around 6000. So for what i use it for, i am happy with it. "price wise also"

I've read the 52.16 drivers give the FX5200 a huge boost, but I guess not in your case.

I don't understand why anyone would tell you you're making "too many threads".

i still dont understand the concept behind the 5200fx.... they release it as their new generation card and yet, it is slower than molasses.

i just got a geforce3 ti200 for 15$ off of ebay and i gave it to my brother. it runs 2001se with a score of 7500.

if i were these people on a budget, i would rather get used card that were once on the upper echelon of gaming cards instead of these craptacular overpriced and castrated new cards.

sorry, but had to vent. i dont like seeing nvidia screwing people over with excessive prices for products that dont perform well. poor poor price/performance ratio imho.
