Domain Holders Look Here

Doing a Whois search today I came across an interesting page.
The information we all have supplied to our registrar's is public domain.

Some registrar's sell our information in bulk to 3rd party companies. This can't be a good thing.

Hmm...I bought my domian name through godaddy.com and I bet anything that they would sell my personal information. How else would they be able to sell domain names for so cheap? I know that they say that you will get your domain name terminated or something like that if you provide false information but Im sorry, I am not going to put my address in for my own personal site. I can understand doing it for a business but a personal site?

HAH that is uber funny that someone actually replied to this thread from godaddy.com. Well if their whois server needs passwords to check the info on them, what good is that? Someone can easily use another whois server.

It is the nature of the beast with DNS registrations
Do a whois on any domain and you get company or personal information.

Granted people should not be able to datamine this information, but it is accessible
