Lost DOS prompt and Control Panel WINDOWS 2000 Pro.

I was trying to remove a program that kept resetting my home page in Internet Explorer every time I rebooted. I deleted some things out of my startup folder, and somehow lost "DOS" and "CONTROL PANEL" and who knows what else.

I tried to "Repair" my Windows install by booting to the Windows 2000 CD, and running repair/recovery. But nothing happened. Is there anyway to get my default Window functionality restored? Or, can I at least get back my "DOS command" prompt and my "CONTROL PANEL"?

Thanks much everyone!

If you just deleted the shortcuts, just open up 'Recycle Bin' and restore them.

You can't delete 'Control Panel' from the Start Menu.

The "DOS" you're talking about is a just a shortcut to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe"
