- Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from the CD-ROM
- Put in the CD-ROM and start the installation
- When it asks which partition to install onto, just pick the one you want, more than likely "C" (If "F" is just a second partition on your main HDD, it will probably show up as "D"

Your best method is to just d/l them from the mfr. site and burn them to a CD.

Just out of curiousity, why are you changing from winXP home to winXP Pro?

Have you tried putting the XP pro disk in your CD-ROM with XP Home up and running to see if you have an upgrade option?

Unless its OEM it should give you an upgrade option. If you don't want to lose data, don't format the C partition. It will detect the other version of XP and give you some choices, these speak for themselves. You CAN install into a different directory, and the device drivers are in c:\windows\system if you need them during install, rather than scavenging round for disks. Provided of course you don't delete your original install. (not sure why you wouldn't want to though)
Otherwise just download the drivers from the manufacturer, and stick them on the F partition.

XP pro has things like SMP support (probably won't apply here as nobody would install home on a dual CPU system anyway) and loads of extra config and security (lol) options. as well as support for NT/2k domains and AD.
