What is this? sweeper and sweeper2 both from ohio???

Generally dx9 cards perform well on 2k3, eg. radeon 9500+ series.

so basiclly the FX cards suck for benchmarking...

I was running nascar 4 the other night and turned on the FPS while racing online...was regestering up to 140 FPS, so really not sure what the benchmark actually tells you. If i was to put 2 more sticks of ddr 2700 "256mb" in my new board, would it help out with benchmarking at all? I am running only 1 stick at 256.
running 2.2 ghz athlon xp 2500 over clocked.

if you follow the direction on future mark's site you will definitely get a better score. you must first disable your network or internet connection, turn off all sharing, and reboot, then run 3dmark03. i followed these directions and doubled my scores from 3232 -6231!

FX cards are dx9 generation. They should not 'suck'.

I benchmarked his system with nothing running and no network connected. It scored like 800 in 3DMark 03.

Doesn't make sense to me.

I remember from another post from Sweeper that the video card was the FX 5200. It is acceptable from a 5200.

Yes, poopeyhed2 'your name crackes me up' , I did post about his system before he joined TechIMO. It is an FX-5200 from Gainward.

I guess I should've said that the fx5200 (non-ultra) model sucks
800 seems a bit low, but not knowing the system specs it's really not that bad.
The best seems (according to orb) be somewhere around 2000.
