Screen Panning

Hi,

I have an old AcerNote Light 350PCX laptop and I have a problem. When setting the resolution (in windows 95) to higher than 640x480, the resolution doesn't actually change, instead the screen gets larger and when you move the mouse to the edge of the screen, it moves (I think this is called panning) Is there any way I can get over this, or is it the lcd that can't take the resolution?

it is possible that it is the lcd. seems rather low though. are you sure you have all the latest drivers? is there a tv out in the laptop? having that set as the primary display adapter can do that to you.
