dvd burning software

i have a pioneer 106 dvdrw dual format, also i have a liteon dvdrw daul format, both in different machines,
the 106 is in a
amd athalon 2000xp+
1gig sdram
2 x 80gig 7200rpm hard drives
o/s is xp professional retail
500watt psu


the second machine is a p4 1.4mhz
256mb ram
liteon dvdrw daul format
20gig hdd
120gig hdd, split into 3 hdds
o/s windows 2000 professional
400watt psu

with both i have tried prassi primo v2.0
dvd decrypter, main different veritas ans stomp and recordnow ma4 dx and so on. still i have not found one to be compatiable with either burner, if i use stomp record now or veritas or recordnow, my machines crash. i have aspilayers up todate so aspichk says. 4.60(1021), could anyone tell me if this is the correct aspilayer to have as im having no end of problems, i hvae just finished re formatting and reinstalling all the o/s on both machines and all hardware and software, please help im at my end.

what are you tring to burn?
movies, I use dvdxcopy

everything else: Nero,Disc Juggler,Clone cd, Blindwrite.

Have you tried Nero 6 Ultra Edition?

dustyrun, yes im trying to burn img of a film, that has been fxped to me from a friend states side.
