being that it is the weekend you might have to wait for the week to get an answer but i hate to say it if you have a problem when you flash and stop in the middle of the process you kill the mobo .

If you need to replace the BIOS chip, this guy is the one who can get it to you. Helped me out when I flashed the wrong BIOS to a board awhile back.

well i wouldn't blame the board . why were you flashing the bios anyway ? you sould only flash the bios as a last resort in anycase . if it messes up this is what happens

i was lead to believe that a bios update would enable the agp. the bios only gave option of onboard graphics or pci. wouldnt work with agp card at all. i change agp through control panel/system/devicemanager/systemdevices to bridged pci to pci. still not working. card was fine in another computer with intel al440 mobo. couldnt believe a sis 305 wouldnt work. the agp just wasnt an option in bios. with monitor plugged to onboard and agp card in , system wouldnt boot to bios. so i flashed. couldnt cope with onboard graphics card cause it was lame. the only thing that does my ead in is that the k7 athlon xp was a nice processor but is soldered on mobo so i cant even get that. a new bios chip will be about £20 uk but all the hassle i mite as well buy a new board without onboard graphics and processor.
so...... i previously flashed my older pcchips board with onboard graphics and it was fine. must have been dodgey with the specialised board or i got the wrong bios update. probably latter.

I don't know what caused your BIOS flash to go sour - maybe you didn't disable the USB before you flashed - that will do it. At any rate your problem had nothing to do with the BIOS. The M810 only works with certain nVidia GF AGP adapters: check your manual and the PcChips site for approved adapters. Mine works with a MSI GF2 gts just fine. There is no selection to enable the AGP slot in the BIOS. Just put an adapter in the slot and the board automatically turns off the onboard. If you enter the BIOS selections after the post, you will notice the BIOS video selections are altered to reflect the presence of an AGP adapter. If the board won't post with an adapter in the slot, either it is the wrong adapter or it's not in the slot properly. Sorry about your smokin' board - but never update the BIOS, if you don't have to, and always disable the USB.

You can likely recover the BIOS if you have the correct ROM file available.

1. Rename the desired AMI BIOS file to AMIBOOT.ROM and save it on a floppy disk. e.g. Rename A569MS23.ROM to AMIBOOT.ROM

2. Insert this floppy disk in the floppy drive. Turn on the system and press and hold Ctrl-Home to force update. It will read the AMIBOOT.ROM file and recover the BIOS from the A drive.

3. When 4 beeps are heard you may remove the floppy disk and restart the computer.

thats a bummer . i wonder if it wouldn't work because the agp was 3.3 volt and you were trying to use a 1.5v agp card . or vise versa
