Windows Setup Error Code 4

I'm trying to install WinXP pro sp1 on clean HD, I deleted the old partition and created a new one, then formated the HD. I restart and boot from the cd and it goes into the setup fine but before the options like Create Partition, or Repair is says : File \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. The Error code is 4. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit. I really need some help as fast as possible. Thank You very much!!!!

Try cleaning your CD and try again.

cant install SP1 on a copy, they made it so people like you couldnt use it.

Not sure if you're trying to be funny or if you really don't understand. It means you have an illegally copied CD with a corrupted file on it. If you want something that works, buy it like every other law abiding U.S. citizen. Yes, Microsoft charges WAY too much for XP, but they are still within the law. If you want a free O/S, go with linux.

See the thing is your allowed to copy it if u own it. The orginal is so scratched up now it don't read, my exact reason why I copy every thing.
