Outdoors Athlon xp 2500 system

Put together a system here with the help of sweeper.
maxter hard drive 13 gig, i believe 5200 rpm
triton k7 gigabyte kt600 FSB 400 Motherboard
Geforce FX 5200 128 MB video card
soundblaster live
Athlon XP 2500 overclocked to 2.2 GB
video card overclocked to 264 Mhz core and 346 Mhz Mem
ddr 2700 333 "256" mg ram

best bench mark is around 5500 3d mark 2001 SE

is it the video card or hard drive and would more MEM work for system 2 open slots left.

Also cpu running 48 degrees celsius. What is the highest temp I can go without worrying? Some people said 85, but that seems awfull high to me.

48 deg is that idle or load, if its idle that that is way too high.
As for your system 256 RAM is a bit low for these days.
Also your HDD is a bit slow.

Hey Sweeper2, got a hard drive I'll sell ya.....

Sounds like that ATA/66 HD and the 256MB Ram need a little upgrade... but I still firmly believe the video card is your main bottleneck... as posted in my other thread located......... HERE .
