the keyboard is a thermaltake xaser, tried your suggestion bill, but it said there are no better drivers. Under keyboards in device manager it lists my keyboard as a microsoft 101/102 or another microsoft keyboard. I think that's why it won't use the driver on the cd. I uninstalled the microsoft keyboard, hoping a reboot would detect new hardware and list it right, but it listed the same again.. i'm gonna try and contact thermaltake, but any other advice is welcome as well.
