Any ideas on what is causing this?

Monitor shows "no signal" ...as though the pc is turned off but the box was still on. Rebooted...all was fine. A few minutes later it went back to the "no signal". Rebooted and the mouse froze. Rebooted again and all was fine. Again a few minutes later it did it again, and Ctrl-Alt-Del brought the screen back. So far so good....but does anyone have an idea as to what might cause this?

My best bet would be driver problems. If this persists I'd go to your Video Card manufactures website and get the latest drivers...Ummm what are your specs? This is wierd. Hope this doesnt continue for ya!

Thanks for replying. Specs are K7T266Pro 2 MB, Athlon XP 1600+, 512 DDR Ram, Radeon 9600 (non pro), ....
I am running the Catalyst 3.8 drivers.

I would suggest changing your display to SVGA, re-boot, and then re-install your vid drivers.

Is this a new build or a new prob on a tested system?

Are you OCing? What are your temps? 2 sticks of ram or one(if 2, try 1 at a time)? Have you changed any standby modes recently?

I think we could use some more info.
