FrontPage probs
I have a website that I would like to edit with FrontPage 2002, and was wondering how to get the website pages, etc. into FrontPage so that I can edit them and re-publish them. Any ideas?

do you use Internet Explorer? You can use the edit button, push that drop down arrow by the edit button and choose frontpage...that will let you edit the pages in front page. Now uploading is another matter. You need an ftp program, like WsFtp LE (free), and you need to know the ftp address of the server you want to upload the pages to, etc.

Do you mean there is a website on a remote server, and you want to bring these pages to your local pc, edit them in FrontPage, and then publish them to a remote server?
Or, are you simply asking how to you edit, then publish web pages you have created on your (development) pc, and then want to publish to a webserver?
There are ways to do both these things (within FrontPage).

There are ways to do both these things (within FrontPage). | My website is a free one from Tripod, I wanted to get all the files from my website on Tripod into FrontPage '02 since I don't have the files anymore, and then publish them aftering editting them.

Open frontpage, click File>Import, then follow the wizard. it will import your entire website (or any website) to your pc.

If so, under Inetpub\wwwroot create a new (empty) website using FrontPage. Open that website, and then import your site from Tripod. Do you still have access/author permissions to the Tripod site?
