What does everyone thing would happen if windows sources were leaked or stolen or somehow found. Would if be the undoubtable fall of Microsoft. Fall of America? (hell, everone uses windows, if there was a huge virus that was unpatchable) Would this be a good thing?
I personally think that the capture of windows source would be devastating to the whole world. Because You know that there must be so many flaws and stuff in there that we don't know abou yet.
Must be. I too have noticed the amount of Linux boxes being taken down by mass-mailing worms and "Specially malformed web sites"
Well, the clueless always said when Linux gets more users there will suddenly appear loads of virii out of nowhere, despite the reasons put forth against this (which, I have to say I found more convincing)
I guess that showed us Linux users that in fact the security is as bad as windows

if they got stolen by an open-source supporter it would be great news in the long term: councils and groups would form to assess the potentially millions of home-made patches and add-ons and authorise them. they would be tip-top quality because other gropus would put their seal of approval on their versions and sales would depend on reputation. also this way the platform would be less of a sitting duck to hackers, viruses etc because it would not just be one standard.
if bill gates was stolen, well the russians would probably torture him into writing a piece of colourful but blatantly rubbish software...which would bring them up to scratch with the rest of the modern world...
