XP crashes when loading on a Biostar Motherboard w/ AMD Throughbred processor

Guys,
This is my first question and hope someone can help me., Ive done a search in your forums,, but still cant find the answer......

I built 2 brand new computers. Both of them have a Biostar M7VIW motherboard w/ AMD Thoroughbred 1600 processors in them.

Both IDENTICAL computers except for the hardrives and graphics card. One of the computer "A" has a Nvidia MX200 PCI graphics card in it, with a 30 Gig Quantum Fireball hardrive. Computer "B" has a PINE 32 Meg PCI graphics card in it w/ a IBM 80 Gig Hardrive.

On each computer I can install windows 98se and never come up with a STOP error on either, but when trying to load Windows XP PRO as an upgrade or without a prior operating system it crashes on INSTALLING HARDWARE portion of load-up.

Most of the time I get a KERNAL_INSTACK_ERROR, or a PAGEFAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA stop code.

I have disabled all bios shadowing, cacheing of all kinds in bios, and all bios virus detection. I have disabled the mobo's USB, LAN, and AUDIO, and STILL GET THIS FREAKING ERROR ON EACH COMPUTER! ARRRRRRRRRRGHGHGHGHGHGGGGHHHHH (okay okay, over dramatic but what the hell, I'm going crazy here)

can anyone help.. Thanks guys!........This is like my 3rd day trying to solve this problem.......and still i cant find ANYONE to help with any ideas..........

Here is where i asked EXPERTS EXCHANGE in which im a member...... http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hard..._20786683.html

THANKSS IN ADVANCE GUYS!!!!!

-Chris

What brand RAM in each? Slow the RAM down, see what happens.

Not much. My advice to you is to beg, borrow, or steal some different RAM and try that. If you absolutely can't do that, then raise the RAM timings as high as they can go (which means maximum latency, etc).

Alternatively, try a different Windows XP CD. You could also try Win2K to see what it does.
