Need a picture program ...

As many of you know, I'm deployed to Iraq with the US military. We've taken hundreds of pictures of our journey here, and I'd like to create a CD that will automatically start a slideshow program and display the pictures.

Does anyone know of a good program, preferably free, that does that? (I'd like the project to be completely self-running, regardless of what specific software a person has on their computer.)

Thanks in advance,
Dana

If you have XP, you can use the 'CD Slide Show Generator'. It say;

"CD Slide Show Generator
With this PowerToy you can view images burned to a CD as a slide show. The Generator works downlevel on Windows 9x machines as well." I think that might mean it will work on a 9X machine as well, never tried, so don't know.

Anyway, it's FREE and can be found here

Thanks guys! With either of those programs, I assume that I can set up the CD to autorun, and then start the specific slideshow with a command line in a batch file. Does that sound like it will work?

Billy G. strikes again. Although the description says "The Generator works downlevel on Windows 9x machines as well", trying to load it in W98SE brings the message
Quote:
The powertoys require Windows XP or a service pack. They will not function on a version of Windows earlier than or later than Windows XP.
