Doot is on a distinguished road

Hi, I have an A7V333 mobo which is installed with XP home, and have this problem. My box has 8 USB ports (4-usb1.1 & 4-usb2) now when I plug a usb1.1 device in the usb2 ports I get a bsod saying something about the usbsys or something, I don`t catch it in time. I thought that you could plug 1.1 devices into usb2 ports.

I have latest via 4in1 and have installed the usb2 driver from my mobo CD. Any ideas or has anyone come across this problem and solved it?

Thanks Doot.

Doot,
I don't have a solution for you, but I can help you see the blue screen error to get more details.

Control Panel -> System -> Advanced tab -> Startup and Recovery > Settings

Uncheck the [ ] Automatically Restart option.

Now, when you get the blue screen, you can read the entire error. You should pay attention to the 0x00000.. code, as well as any specific drivers mentioned.

Thanks, have done that, I`ll have to make it go bsod so I can see which driver is causing the problem.

Thanks Doot
