For me Bullet time from Max Payne..... even sound slows down...

I agree with Droppyale. I like the part when you shoot off the head it make like a fountain

The water effects in hl2, rag doll physics in max payne2, lighting/ shadows in splinter cell, muzzle flashes in max payne2, and some effects in raven shield.

all max payne 2 as mentioned above and the motion blur. cant think of anything else at the moment, mind you this is the game im playing atm.

Off the top of my head, a real cool feature is in CoD when you are near an explosive blast and everythign gets fuzzy, sound is distorted.
