I currently have sygate firewall and home network.
I'm getting tired of the firewall part, it doesn't seem to accept custom rules (I've set custom rules so that everything on every protocol and application is allowed on my lan), but yet the fw seem compelled to inspect the lan traffic.

I transfer a lot of large files/large amount of files regularly. Whenever I do so, smc.exe (sygate fw) eats 100% of cpu time and stops all internet/computer activity for the duration of the transfer. Also, after it has transferred approx.2GB of data, it slows down the lan traffic to speeds of 10MB network (it's 100MB). If I stop the transfer, and transfer the remainder of files it will be at 100MB (though cpu usage is at 100% still).

I'd need a fw that supports sygate home network (or some other ics program (please suggest), and is not required on all the computers in the lan.

Or, even better, does someone know how to enforce the custom rules so that sygate fw does NOT inspect lan traffic. (I've browsed through sygate forums and they offer no help).
