MSWord Text Box problem

I have a document that has text boxes in it. The text boxes are viewable when the view mode is set to print preview or print layout but not normal.

How can I get the document to display the text boxes as normal?

AFAICS you can't do that with MSWord. Here is a quote from the Help Files.

Work in normal view (normal view: A view that shows text formatting and a simplified page layout. Normal view is convenient for most editing and formatting tasks.) for typing, editing, and formatting text. Normal view shows text formatting but simplifies the layout of the page so that you can type and edit quickly.

In normal view, page boundaries, headers and footers, backgrounds, drawing objects, and pictures that do not have the In line with text wrapping style do not appear.
