Is this using IE?
Are you trying to download from FTP links, HTTP links?

Is this with large files/small files?

Do you have the same problem when using an FTP client?
Maybe try an alternative browser to see if you get the same effects?

just curious, where in pa are you?

believe it or not, some spyware can do that, so make sure you run spybot.

anything else internet related running? are they affected? like does AIM disconnect?

have you ever "tweaked" your tcp/ip settings?

did you try a system restore?

when the download freezes, can you still browse the internet fine?

well it seems to have fixed itself for now

i cant resume them. they sit there saying blah kb/s with time remaining but it doesnt move

i am from pittsburgh but am at penn state main campus

already ran spybot and adaware

nothing else changes on my internet (except that everyonce in a while my internet goes down when everyone else's stays up)

never "tweaked" it. just have it set at university settings

i have done a system restore, didnt do anything

i can still browse the internet fine

as i said, it seems to have fixed itself for now, but who knows when it will start happening again
