oc'g 1800+ at 2.1ghz question?

I have a 1800+ on an A7N8X-x.

I have the FSB set at 166 w/multiplier at 12.5. (2.08 Ghz)

Cheap ram is just set a 133.

Temps are 36 degrees idle using just the stock hsf.

Are the temps high or normal?

MB will not allow multiplier above 12.5. You can set it above that but when I do cpuid it is half the multiple. Is there a way around this?

What else can be done to go higher? How high can it go?

Your idle temp is fine. What vcore are you at? I've been running my daughter's TBred-A 1800 at 2000mHz and 1.80vcore (default vcore=1.50). She normally sees approx 30°C mobo temp and 42°C CPU temp while running Seti@home commandline client (100% cpu output, all the time).

There is a way to get the higher multipliers but it requires a cpu mod (I think I recall also seeing a wire trick you can do, bridging two adjacent pins using a single, short strand of copper wire bent into a "U" and placed into two specific socket holes).
