Connecting mp3/mp3 cd player to car cd/radio

is this possible?
I would like to buy either an mp3 player or mp3 cd player, but most of my time spent listening to music is while driving. I don't want to buy a new in dash mp3/mp3 cd player for the car because i want a portable one i can use outside of the car as well. I don't have a tape deck in my car so i can't use a digital to analog tape converter.

why don't you use a wireless fm transmitter?
here's one I found, after googling "wireless fm transmitter"
Jensen also makes a transmitter, but I lost the link, sorry.
imo, this is an easy, inexpensive alternative.
btw, I have had no experience with the company whos website I gave you. I do not vouch for their service, I was merely showing you a viable solution to your problem.
Thinkgeek.com imo is a better company to deal with, but I cannot find their "Jensen wireless transmitter" which they sold last month for $39.

So you're looking for something similar to that new XM radio portable adapter, but with a mp3 player?

one other possibility...

Some car stereos have aux inputs that would be perfect for your intended use. This applies to a few OEM types. Other aftermarket models may have inputs marked "Aux In" or similar. Others may have an input intended for attaching a CD changer but which can be used as an aux in; some Sony models are like that. They have a pair of RCA jacks on the back.
