Is there any way to test if the power supply is not giving enough power?

I ask this because my computer keeps freezing after about two minutes after I turn on the computer, and I can't figure out why. The computer is only a month and a half old, and I really don't want to have to find a box and ship it back to Ibuypower.com to have them tell me they can't find anything and it must be pilot error.

Send a message via AIM to Rand Dusing
Is this before or after Windows boots up? It probaly has nothing to do with the power supply.

What OS are you using? Elaborate a bit more on "freezing up" i.e. is it while specific programs are being opened or loaded, do you have an anti-virus etc. etc.

Also, have you tried opening the Task Manager (hit Ctrl alt delete) when it is frozen. If the task manager opens does it show anything not responding?

The computer gets through Windows and then the mouse freezes on screen after about two minutes.

I'm running XP, and the computer is practically brand new. I didn't include the information because I posted this in the other area for technical problems, but didn't get much of a response there either.

I can't open anything else when it freezes. The whole computer won't do anything.

Sounds a little like overheating.

Can you boot up and go into the bios and see if it has some temp readouts?

I'm keeping it in bios mode right now and slowly the temperature is continuing to go up. It's at about 42C now for system and 57C for CPU temp. Could it possibly be this? And if it is, is there a fix for this or a reason why temperature would be causing this problem?

I have a feeling that once I jumped into Windows it would heat up really fast, but that's just a guess. I feel like a computer hypochondriac.
