driver update probs

I'm trying to update my GForce FX 5600 Go 64MB drivers to the latest version, but it just ain't doing! Help!

where are you getting the drivers from?

i dont believe the new nvidia drivers from their site will work. dont load the latest drivers from the laptop website

I'm getting the drivers from their website. I'm going to have to get it from sony's website...

No other driver than the one from the laptop manuf. site will work.
I've tried
But then again, I might be wrong about other manufacturers. At least toshibas won't accept anything but a toshiba driver.
I have an ibm laptop, too, which I think accepted generic drivers, I think

I found a website that has modified inf files, do you think I should try those? They were recommended to me by someone.
