Work unzipping a file

Downloaded free borland C++5.5. While unzipping 'blowup' file in folder I get following message - replace file c:\unzipped\blowup\MOUSE.C
2kB 4\12\1998 4:19PM

with MOUSE.C
2kB 4\12\1998 5:19PM

YES | YES TO ALL | NO

not sure which to choose. If I choose yes some files are hidden or system and not sure if I should replace them. Thanks for your help.

How are you unzipping it? Are you having it use the specified paths?

it doesn't matter if you unzip to a different folder, if you are using a dos command line unzip untility you have to specify for it to extract to original paths.
You should use WinZip or something like that to unzip file properly since it does this by default.

Using pkunzip the switch to have it extract the original paths is -d.

So the command would look like:

pkunzip -d zipfile.zip

I clicked 'YES TO ALL'. A colorful MSDOS icon was created. When I double-clicked it a dark window tried to appear but fell off. A message box titled 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem said, C:\unzipped\blowup\BLOWUP.PIF
Inavlid program file name, please check your pif file. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
