iPAQ and Windows XP

I have an iPAQ router CP-2W and a lap top with Windows XP. I can access any and all web sites fine from the lap top when connected directly to the DSL modem, however when going through the router, many web pages can't be accessed. For instance, I can go to Yahoo.com fine but when I go to check e-mail within yahoo I get a "page can't be displayed message."

I have another computer with Windows 2000 that works fine through the router.

Any suggestions?

do you have any firewall software installed on the xp machine? also make sure the xp built in firewall is not turned on. try defaulting security and privacy tabs in internet options.

I don't have any firewall software installed. I have also disabled the built in firewall for XP. Lastly, I have set the security and privacy settings to default (after trying all settings).

I'm wondering if there is a problem with my router and/or the wireless adaptor.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

May have found a fix for your problem

I was researching this router, and wether I want to get one or not and found your post.

I was on Compaq's site and they just released a softpack that adresses DNS issues. Give it a shot and post back if that worked or not. http://h20015.www2.hp.com/hub_search...737&sw_lang=en

Well in there search says 12/3/2003 But on the softpaq page it states 2001. I think that date is wrong on the softpaq page because it lists Windows XP....
