My CDROM is messed

I have an LG 52x CDROM, brand new, and its screwed up. Every time i try to install a 2-3 cd game (ie. right now im trying to install Diablo 2) ill put in a second or third cd and it will not detect it. I look in My Computer and the icon for the cd drive is gone. In order to make it reappear and use my cd drive, i have to reboot. Whats up?

Check to make sure the IDE and power cables are plugged in tightly. Maybe boot into safe mode and check for 'ghost drives' - multiple CD drives that don't exist on your system.

Also, you might want to PM a mod to move this to Tech Support instead of Networking - probably get a better response.
