thats the new prototype Pentium 5. They have it hidden in a P1 casing to do testing..obviously trying to sort of "hide" it to keep it out of the public eye..of course..on the internet that never works too well.
The pins are microscopically divided longitudinally though its very hard to see with those pictures.
Each pin in that pic actually has two functions thru command mulitplexing. Basically, though it looks like a stock socket 7 casing, each pin is two pins in one..basically each pin is split longways and made of different materials with slightly different resistances....the motherboards sends two commands simultaneously on each pin and the chip itself can interpret the difference in the "double" command on each pin and actually send it to the proper "half" of the pin.
So its theoretically "twice" the "command" bandwidth though it doesnt quite work out to that in practice. (like dual channel ddr doesnt)
