Gaming Help with GeForce 2MX 400

OS Name: Microsoft Windows Xp Home Edition
Version: 5.1.2600
System Type: X86-based PC
Processor: x86 Family 15 model 1 stepping 2 GenuineIntel ~1506 mhz
BIOS Version: Award Software, Inc. ASUS P4T-E ACPI BIOS Revision 1003
Total Physical Memory: 256 MB

The problem first appeared around august after I used Windows Update and downloaded a display driver for my GeForce 2MX 400 display card. When I start up my system, the display appears distorted, sometimes it freezes before it loads completely, screen begins to flicker and when I boot up any video games, it hangs or graphics appear distorted, also I recieve the message "out of range" sometimes.
I've tried downloading several drivers versions from nvidia's such as; 28.32 , 28.84 , 30.82 , 40.71 , 45.23 and 52.16. None have worked and some may have made it worser. Also I would use my installation cd that came with the GeForce 2MX 400 display card, but I recieve a message about the files being corrupted.

Any ideas?

Welcome to TechIMO. Funny, my son's friend is having problems with this same card. His problem is it can't play video properly.

Go here for instructions on removing your drivers and doing a fresh reinstallation.

Post back if you're still having problems.

The tweak solution has done little to correct the problem. Could it be possible that my display card is damaged? Although it does not show that it is working improperly in the device manager.
